Privacy Policy

Tehseen AI ("we", "our", "us") develops products including the Tehseen AI Quran App (available at quran.tehseenai.com) and Folio (available at folio.tehseenai.com), a personal journaling app.

This Privacy Policy describes how we handle data across all Tehseen AI products. Each product section below clarifies what applies specifically to that app. We built our products with privacy at the core — your data belongs to you.

An account is required to access personalized features such as bookmarks, notes, progress tracking, and practice history. We collect your email address and display name upon registration, or via Google or Apple sign-in.

• Account data: Email address, display name, and hashed password or OAuth tokens for authentication.
• Practice & progress data: Recitation session results, ayah scores, and practice history — stored on our servers and linked to your account to enable progress tracking across devices.
• Bookmarks & notes: Ayah bookmarks and personal notes you add within the app are stored on our servers and tied to your account.
• Audio recordings: When you use the recitation practice feature, your voice recording is uploaded to our servers solely for AI scoring analysis. Recordings are processed immediately and are not retained beyond what is necessary to return your score.
• Reading preferences: Font size, selected reciter, translation preferences, and UI settings are stored locally in your browser or on our servers to sync across sessions.

The recitation practice feature uses our AI backend to analyze your recitation and provide word-level feedback. Your voice recording is transmitted securely to our servers for processing. We do not sell, share, or use audio recordings for any purpose other than generating your personal recitation score.

• We do not use behavioral analytics, ad tracking, or third-party marketing pixels.
• We do not sell your data to any third party.
• We do not share your data with other users.

• Quran audio CDN (EveryAyah.com): Recitation audio is streamed from a public CDN. No personal data is shared with this service.
• Crash reporting (Sentry): Anonymous crash and error data to help us fix bugs. No personal journal or recitation content is included.
• Apple / Google: If you use social sign-in, Apple and Google handle authentication per their own privacy policies.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account permanently removes all associated data from our servers — including bookmarks, notes, practice history, and authentication records. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Folio is a personal journaling app built with privacy at its core. Your journal entries, thoughts, and memories belong to you. We designed Folio so that your most personal data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to enable cloud sync.

All journal entries, photos, videos, voice memos, mood data, and AI-generated insights (sentiment analysis, topic tags, patterns) are stored exclusively on your device using SQLite. This data is never uploaded to our servers unless you enable cross-device sync as a Premium subscriber.

AI processing — including sentiment analysis, topic extraction, and voice transcription — runs entirely on-device using embedded models. No text or audio is sent to external AI services.

• Account info (if you sign in): Email address, display name, and avatar from Google or Apple sign-in. Used for authentication and cross-device sync only.
• Subscription data: Managed by RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status (active, expired, etc.) to enable Premium features. RevenueCat's own privacy policy governs their processing.
• Crash reports: Anonymous crash data via Sentry to fix bugs. No journal content is ever included in crash reports.
• No analytics or tracking: We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, or any behavioral tracking tools in Folio.

If you enable sync, your journal data is stored in a per-user isolated database on Turso (a SQLite-compatible cloud service). Your data is never commingled with other users' data. Media files (photos, videos, voice memos) are stored on Cloudflare R2 and accessible only via signed, time-limited URLs tied to your account.

You can disable sync at any time. Deleting your account permanently removes your cloud database and all associated media. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

If you grant location permission, Folio can tag journal entries with your location. This data is stored locally on your device and, if sync is enabled, in your personal cloud database only. We never share location data with third parties. You can revoke location access at any time in your device settings.

• RevenueCat: Subscription management.
• Apple / Google: Authentication via Sign in with Apple or Google.
• Turso: Cloud database for sync (Premium only).
• Cloudflare R2: Media file storage for sync (Premium only).
• Sentry: Anonymous crash reporting.

You can delete all local data at any time from Settings → Data → Delete All Data.

If you have an account, deleting your account removes all server-side data including your sync database, media files, authentication records, and subscription links. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Our products are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit and secure storage practices for data at rest. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice within the app. Continued use of our products after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
